'A Christmas Prince 3: The Royal Baby' Is Officially Happening, And Coming To Netflix!

One of the most loved Christmas movies on Netflix is returning, but this time there's a baby on board!

Meghan and Harry aren't the only royal couple expecting! The 2017 Netflix's Christmas movie we all fell in love with is returning, and the royal couple who got married in the last movie now have a baby on board. After A Christmas Prince,  A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding was released last year and that, too, was met with an amazing response from the audience and the critics as well. Directed by Alex Zamm, written by Karen Schaler and Nathan Atkins, The Royal Prince is ready to come back and the kingdom is dressed in festivities. A baby is coming!

Meghan Markle and Harry, the real-life royal couple, are expecting their first child this spring and Netflix isn't going to let them have all the attention and A Christmas Prince 3: The Royal Baby is expected to drop this holiday season! Announcing the great news, Netflix took to their official Twitter and posted a picture of the 'royal baby' who is still in the womb but flashing a big crown in its sonogram.

"Some personal news..." they captioned the picture in which we can see the baby's sonogram who is going to 'make 3' this holiday season. A Christmas Prince is known to be a cheesy-lovey-dovey movie, which makes it perfect for a Christmas watch. In the last movie, journalist Amber (Rose McIver) gets married to the royal prince Richard of Aldovia (Ben Lamb) in a grand function and the sequel is believed to pick up events from there.

The couple meets in the first movie which was released two years ago. Amber travels to Aldovia, fictional land, to interview the prince who mistakes her for the newly appointed tutor for the young princess. Amber plays along, looking for a great scoop of a story and the prince starts falling in love with her. They both eventually fell in love and the struggling journalist becomes a queen. Why can't we have such luck? Asking for a friend.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Schultz, who directed The Royal Wedding, will be returning to direct the sequel. As far as the cast is concerned, the original couple is obviously returning and so is Queen Helena (Alice Krige.) Nate Atkins, who worked on both the previous Christmas Prince movies, will pen the script of the third installment of the franchise as well, and we are super excited!

The principal photography of the movie has begun and is taking shape in Romania. The first movie was an instant hit and even though Netflix didn't release its rating publically, there is no denying that the movie is one of the most loved movie series on Netflix and has a huge fan following.  Now, the internet cannot wait for the baby to come. Just like Meghan and Harry's baby, people are speculating whether the baby will be a boy or a girl!

"It's Christmastime in Aldovia—and a royal baby is on the way! Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce, but when the priceless 600-year-old-treaty disappears, peace is put in jeopardy and an ancient curse threatens their family!" reads the official description of the movie on Netflix. So, a baby, a lot of drama, romance and comedy? It's got everything! The official release date of the movie just says "coming this holiday season" for now.
