It all happened last month when during a recent profile at the Tampa Bay News, Dave Bautista revealed that he’s teaming up with Zack Snyder for a new project. And who would have thought it was for a zombie flick in Netflix!

The genre of zombie outbreak has become a popular trend for movies nowadays. Although there were several zombies movies and television shows in the past, what really brought the genre to the forefront was The Walking Dead. The TV series was a huge hit when it was first released on AMC and continues to do so even today.

The zombies are now enjoying a comeback with several new projects happening at the same time, including the Korean horror-drama Kingdom and the upcoming The Dead Don't Die starring Adam Driver and Bill Murray.

Meanwhile, Zack Snyder was recently in the news while addressing the controversial aspects of his tenure in charge of the DC Extended Universe. Snyder was questioned by an audience asking him why he showed Batman as a murderer in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

He said, “Someone says to me: Batman killed a guy. I’m like, ‘F**k, really? Wake the f**k up.’” Video of the rant is available on Reddit.

Snyder continued while also making a reference to Watchmen, “Once you’ve lost your virginity to this f**king movie and then you come and say to me something about like ‘my superhero wouldn’t do that.’ I’m like ‘Are you serious?’ I’m like down the f**king road on that. It’s a cool point of view to be like ‘my heroes are still innocent."

"My heroes didn’t f**king lie to America. My heroes didn’t embezzle money from their corporations. My heroes didn’t commit any atrocities.’ That’s cool. But you’re living in a f**king dream world.”

Comparing Watchmen the film to Watchmen the graphic novel, Snyder added, “I love more than anything Superman and Batman, but in the same way that Alan Moore was fed up with the f**king, ‘okay, no: [super heroes] do this’... Watchmen talked about comic books in the same way that this movie talks about comic book movies.”
