After being involved with one of the biggest college scam in history of America, Lori and her family have been dropped by various brands.
The 54-year-old American actress and model famous for playing Rebecca Donaldson in ABC's Full House and its sequel on Netflix called Fuller House has been fired from Netflix and has been reportedly dropped from all Hallmark shows and movies after being involved with one of the biggest college bribery scandals. Not just that, her daughter Olivia Jade, who is a famous Youtuber and social media personality, has also suffered a major loss as Sephora has cut ties with her completely. According to TMZ, Sephora took this action because of the scandal allegations.
Hallmark has announced in an official statement that they will not be working with Lori who allegedly paid $500,000 to get her daughters into University of Southern California (USC). Over the years, Loughlin and Hallmark have worked together on various projects together including When Calls the Heart, Garage Sale Mysteries, and several original Christmas movies but it looks like the media house is putting an end to this relationship once and for all.
Hallmark Channel owner Crown Media has revealed to ET that they will not be working with Lori anytime soon, "We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin." Lori was reportedly due to appear in at least one Christmas movie for Hallmark this year.
Both Lori and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli have been accused of conspiring and paying a huge sum of money to get their daughters Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella Rose, 20, to USC. The actress was taken into custody and appeared before a judge who set her bail at $1 million. She is facing a felony charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, as reported by EW.
The documents submitted to the court state that Lori and her husband "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC." Lori has been asked to surrender her passport and not talk to anybody about this case except her husband and two daughters.
"Dozens of individuals involved in a nationwide conspiracy that facilitated cheating on college entrance exams and the admission of students to elite universities as purported athletic recruits were arrested by federal agents in multiple states and charged in documents unsealed on March 12, 2019, in federal court in Boston," according to a release from the US Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. Sephora and Tresseme have cut ties with Jade following the allegations.
"After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately," a source told TMZ. They also revealed that the two daughters are NOT returning to USC because they fear they will be harshly bullied. They are trying to lay low and won't be admitting themselves into any college any time soon. They are "feeling like it's the end of the world." The family is now receiving major backlash from students across the globe who put their mind and soul into studying to get into prestigious institutions.
